A belief that CANNOT be explained . . . even by the leadership!
SO . . . What is it?
The official teaching of the Governing Body (amongst many others) is that if Armageddon comes tomorrow, almost every person on earth not attached to the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses, will be executed by Jesus! (For articles, please click here) What is interesting is this: The official teaching also says that if you die today, before Armageddon, you have the hope to be resurrected, a teaching based on Acts 24:15. Over the years, I have asked many overseer's, pioneer's, and ordinary Witnesses if they noticed the convoluted appearance of this teaching. The ONLY response I ever received was what I had already expected . . . "because it is divine judgement." "Divine judgement," I would ask in return? "What does that mean, exactly?" Of course . . . never a reply! The belief falls apart, because the scriptures do NOT speak of a religious organization rising up 1900 years after Christ, in which the entire world need to turn to escape Armageddon - again, whenever that should come. Not only is this belief unscriptural and outrageous . . . it is convoluted, and a conundrum.
The answer is far more simple than most think. The day of God's anger at Armageddon is against "wickedness," and wicked mankind - not against those who do not align themselves with the Jehovah's Witnesses! Therefore, the Governing Body and the followers believe that if you exist outside the organization, or if you once were part of the organization and for whatever reason(s) you left . . . you are aligned with the wicked! In fact, this is what is taught. But is that what God's Word says? We have covered this subject many times in this website. Under the topic "Mis-application of Disfellowshipping," we highlight the bible's guide in helping us to understand "WHO" qualifies, scripturally, as a "wicked one." And the vast majority who have left the JW organization do not come close to fitting the biblical description of a wicked one. In fact, the Christian world at large do not fit the description of a wicked person.
BEROEAN.ORG rejects the outrageous and unbiblical denunciation of so many hundreds of millions of Christians around the world! NOTE: I say "hundreds of million of Christians" because although there are approximately 2.3 billion claiming to be Christians around the world, many "prove false to its power." As such, I must believe, through the graces of our Father, his mercy and compassion, that there are likely hundreds of millions of approved Christians around the world who do not meet the criteria, scripturally, as "wicked." But also . . . for those that were not Christians, we are reminded that there will be a resurrection of the "unrighteous" as well!
WHAT AN ECCLESIASTICAL DABACLE OF THE HIGHEST ORDER - TO PROCLAIM THAT ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE DIED PRIOR TO TODAY - SINCE 1919, WOULD HAVE DIED AT THE EDGE OF JESUS SWORD IF ARMAGEDDON WOULD HAVE COME IN THEIR TIME, simply for not being part of the Jehovah's Witnesses! AND SIMILARLY, THOSE WHO DIED SINCE 1919 now have a hope of being resurrected since Armageddon did not come in their lifetime. What an outrageous teaching of the Governing Body, and as carried by each member of the Witnesses! God's family is beautiful. Many died being declared by God as "righteous." Many living today are righteous . . . yes . . . even outside the JW organization! And for those who were unrighteous, we await their resurrection where we will embrace them and gladly guide them, with God's help, to attain to spiritual completeness - all to the glory of our Father Jehovah, and our Master and Lord Jesus!
